Germany - FRQ - Covid-19: Updated ECB supervisory measures

On Tuesday, 28 July 2020, the ECB published numerous supervisory measures and recommendations in reaction to the Covid-19 pandemic. The supervisory measures are aimed primarily on the conservation of capital to ensure that significant institutions retain their capacity to fund the economy. These measures are accompanied by supervisory expectations regarding the operational capacity of institutions to deal with distressed debtors in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
