FRC sets out expectations for reporting for business combinations

The Financial Reporting Council has published a thematic review of the accounting and reporting for business combinations, based on the annual reports of 20 companies of various sizes that had recently conducted a business combination. 

The FRC was generally pleased with the quality of reporting of business combinations but found scope for improvement in a number of areas.
