CRD6 to complicate cross-border banking services into the EU

Political agreement has been reached on the EU's banking package, including CRD6. The revised legislation will include tighter restrictions on banks providing cross-border services into the EU. CRD6 includes a requirement on non-EU entities to establish a branch to provide certain banking services in the EU, subject to limited exceptions.
