Insolvency Bitesize – June 2023

Welcome to our second Insolvency Bitesize edition for 2023.

This edition of Insolvency Bitesize contains an eclectic mix of content in what remains a varied but active insolvency market. Our team has been busy since the last edition. We have continued to advise the joint energy administrators on Bulb, not least in relation to the failed bid by several energy companies for judicial review of the energy transfer scheme. We assisted the liquidators in the sale by the ABP Group (in liquidation) of its real estate interests in Royal Albert Docks in East London (one of the largest development sites in London) to DPK (a fund run by property developer and amateur racehorse jockey, David Maxwell). And we also advised the prospective administrators in the pre-pack administration sale of certain businesses and assets of the Internet Fusion Group to BrandAlley.
