Updated Investment Association executive pay guidelines

The Investment Association have just published revised Principles of Executive Remuneration, following roundtable feedback and a fundamental review. The simplified structure (three overarching Principles and Guidance) emphasises the message that “these are Principles, not rules”, that investors will take a “case-by-case approach” to analyse the suitability of remuneration arrangements and that there is flexibility to adapt to what best suits a company’s business and strategy. We look at the key changes in the revised Principles.
